To prevent fading, keep your photographs out of direct exposure to sunlight. If this cannot be avoided, you can buy special anti-UV coated glass to protect your photo. Another good idea is to place your original photo in long-term storage and display a copy. If you have the original negatives on hand, copies can be made at any photo developing store.
